So this was the Otherworld. This was the land of rules and order that fueled desires for escape. Well, that simply did not make any sense at all. This place was wonderful in its own right, despite that right being through its mediocrity.
The hatter found himself walking down a structured path that was solid and black and on either side there were homes, each one almost exactly like the one before it. For a moment, the man pondered the possibility of it not being a group of homes, and simply one being passed over and over again. What if the entire world lived within one home? What if there were different worlds within each home, making them seem cramped when there was actually an overabundance of space.
"This simply must be explored," Hatter muttered to himself as he marched up toward a home. Without pause, he opened the door and entered, grinning widely with his grand hopes of finding a new land of magnificence.

At noon on any weekday, Edward tended to find himself home alone. The rest of the family had jobs and school to keep them busy. Oftentimes Edward, too, had something to do, but around noon most people had lunch and felt too awkward around Edward to invite him along for a meal. This was why Edward, at this time, found himself sitting on the couch in his home, waiting for his family to return home or for someone to come over and ask him to complete some sort of chore involving his hands. However, most people knocked before asking for his aid.
When the door swung open to reveal a brightly colored man, Edward jumped slightly from the surprise. He blinked up at the man, waiting to find out what it was he wanted. He looked nothing like the other neighbors, so he obviously wasn't from around here. The foreward persona led Edward to believe that this man had chosen to come here by his own volition. The man didn't look aggressive in any way, so he simply smiled back at him, waiting to find out just what it was that was going to make this day quite unlike any other.

The room was... simple. It was plain. The only thing out of the ordinary would be the two occupants, one of them being a man with bladed hands. Of course, this fact did not startle the hatter in any way, for he assumed it must be normal here and, if it wasn't, it was still of no consequence as there were many opportunities for abnormal things to find their ways about in the world.
"Hello! What a pleasure it is to meet you. Could you please tell me if the rest of the world is just as it is in here, or is this just how one world is? How many worlds have you visited, may I ask? You look as if you may have seen much and very little at the same time. This is a perplexing idea, but it is one that brings about great opportunity, does it not?"
The hatter then walked fully into the room and sat himself down alongside his new companion. He pressed his legs together with his hands overlapping atop them, sitting in an almost statuesque pose. His expression then froze, the rigidity of his body failing to hint at signs of life. Only the hatter's eyes continued to move as he continued to take in his surroundings.
"Oh, this is just silly! Why don't you come along and show me the rest of this world?" he cried out, grabbing the young man beside him by the elbow as he leapt up.
After dragging them both to the kitchen area, the hatter began rummaging through all the stored goods in the room, be they food, drink, or dish. He was careful with most things, sniffing them and then setting them aside, but several items fell over creating various spills. Nothing seemed new to him, except most of the containers products were kept in, until he reached the pantry, the master storage center for junk food.
"Why, what is this?" he happily cried out as he wrenched open a bag of potato chips, tasting its contents, tossing the bag aside, and then moving on to the next.

Edward didn't know what to make of the man before him. He made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Before he knew it, Edward found himself being pulled along by the hatted individual into the kitchen, which he then proceeded to destroy. Despite having normal hands, he still seemed to know how to unintentionally damage. Edward had similarly found himself to be quite curious about this home when he first arrived, but he had never dared to be so direct in his explorations, simply poking around timidly every now and again.
"You should stop," Edward then piped up, assuming Peg would not like to come home to a mess of epic proportions. Wanting to help clean things up, he went and fetched a towel that he just barely managed to carry without snipping. He threw it to the floor and then began to wipe it around with his foot.

"Oh, yes, yes! How foolish of me! I rarely find myself minding a few broken plates or spilt over cups, but others may not feel the same. Actually, I rarely find myself minding much at all, for one requires a mind to partake in such an act," the hatter smiled back to his companion, soon joining him in gathering up things to return to their proper places. Of course, the hatter's interpretation of the proper order of things was not the most typical, as things were mussed about in odd ways and replaced at extreme angles, but he took no notice himself.
"There, there. Now that that's taken care of, I must go backward a step or two," he stepped back to demonstrate, "for I seem to have failed to introduce myself. Tarrant Hightopp, hatter to the White Queen," he bowed to his companion, swinging his hat off his head to complement the gesture.
Bringing himself back up, he grinned and asked, "What is it that you call yourself?"

Edward found himself grateful to the man's understanding and willingness to aid him in cleaning things up. When the job was done, he simply watched the man, waiting to find out what he would do next.
Upon receiving a name to pair with the wild face, Edward responded to the hatter's question with a single word, "Edward." He smiled back at Tarrant, glad to know this man was friendly. Perhaps there would be more, less troublesome, excitement added to his day.
Edward briefly toyed with the idea of leading his new friend on to another location, but he wasn't exactly sure where he would lead him. Instead, he decided to simply wait for the extravert's own ideas to be brought out.

"Such a lovely name, that is," Tarrant smiled at his new companion. Despite how welcome the young man seemed to be to company, he still appeared to be quite shy. This simply wouldn't do.
"I propose we go out and explore everything beyond this home. How does that sound to you, my friend?" he started by going on ahead toward the door, suspecting that Edward would be willing to follow him so long as Tarrant continued to take the lead for him.

Edward gave a soft smile and nodded in agreement, quickly following Tarrant to the door. Some people may react oddly to his new friend as they had when Edward first arrived, but the hatter didn't seem to be the type to worry about these sort of things.
The day was certainly a perfect one for exploring beyond the home, for the sun shone high, and it was warm out with a slight breeze for comfort. It was a day to relax and enjoy. Edward was certainly willing to partake in both of those activities; however, the former did not seem to be a terribly likely occurrence.
Looking around, Edward figured they could just stroll through the neighborhood to begin with, though their path would likely soon turn toward the main streets of the town. There was no telling where Tarrant's wandering mind would lead them, and Edward was perfectly ok with that.

'So this is my new home.' Joon thinks walking around the streets of the neighborhood hoping there would be a park to sit in for a few hours a day to sort whatever thoughts came to her. Finding no park yet she sits down on the curb and looks at the drawing of Sam, Benny, and herself at the park from a few months ago. "I miss you guys. Can't wait to get back home in a while though." she mumbles putting her arm hand open, palm up, on her knee her head in her hand turning to a new page and starting to draw.
