Desired Character: El Mariachi
Movie(s) in which your character appears: El Mariachi, Desperado and Once Upon A Time in Mexico
Description of character: El Mariachi is known by the legend he leaves in his wake. The legendary stories themselves are likely to be far from the truth, having been embellished each time they have been passed on, much like a game of chinese whispers. The truth behind the legend is of a stoic, morally upright man, who has just had a string of bad situations which he has had to fight his way out. El prefers peace to the fighting of which he is so adept at, and tends to keep to himself, away from other people, as to keep himself out of the crosshairs which always seemed to be pinpointed on him.
As previously mentioned El is a skilled fighter with almost any type of firearm. Anything from small handguns, modified shotguns, right up to M5 assault rifles. He often conceals these weapons when he travels in a guitar case. The case itself has a fake guitar cover once the lid is opened, as to pass any inspection. He has also been known to hide a weapon within a guitar itself, however he wouldn't use this method unless absolutely nessessary. This is due to the fact that, to get the weapon, the guitar must be destroyed.
One of the many legends surrounding El Mariachi, is his music. This is one of the few stories which is totally and utterly true. El prides himself on his music, and will not go anywhere without his guitar. He is as skilled a musician as he is a fighter, and this is where his name derives from. El Mariachi literally translates to The Mariachi, basically meaning that people everywhere believe him to be the best musician known to Mexico.
El is also one of the 'Sons of Mexico', and helped save the life of the Mexican president when El's nemisis, General Marquez, led a Coup De Tate. This was around the same time he worked with Agent Sands to bring down the Barrio Cartel, who were in fact the leading financers to Marquez's plans. However, once this short fiasco was over, and he was sure that "El Presidente" was safe, he walked off, guitar in hand. Who knows where he might end up next, but one thing is for sure, his legend still spreads...

The hot Mexico sun was beating down hard upon the light brown and sandy hues of the small Village. There was a rustic beauty to this place, however this beauty was lost on El Mariachi. El was having another one of those days where it seemed everyone wanted to kill him. To any passer-by, he would come off as just a regular Mariachi, just sitting and playing his guitar in the Village square. However this could not be furthur from the truth, because under his jacket El was heavily armed. He was armed with dual handguns in underarm holsters, and his modified shotgun was in a holster on his leg, currently hidden at the moment by his guitar.
He didn't bother looking up at the group of 6 men who were moving towards him, he already knew there were there. One of the nearest men spoke up.
"Hay una recompensa por la cabeza de mariachi, una recompensa de que vamos a recoger."
There is a bounty on your head Mariachi, a bounty of which we shall collect.
El smiled slightly and stood up, beginning to play a faster tempo tune on his guitar.
"Muchos hombres han intentado antes, y sin embargo, aquí estoy. Te daré una oportunidad para dar la vuelta y regresar a casa."
Many men have tried before, and yet here I stand. I will give you one chance to turn around and go home.
The man smirked and begun to pull out his handgun. However he didn't even get so far as aiming the weapon, because El had already blown him away with his shotgun. He spun around to face the man who had been trying to sneak up on him from behind, and like the first he fired and opened a hole right through his adversary's chest. Knowing he didn't have time to reload, El quickly dropped the shotgun and reached to his underarm holsters and pulled out his dual handguns. Spinning around he fired 6 rounds, three from each firearm. With the accuracy that none could match, he watched as the four remaining men dropped to the ground, two headshots, and two chest shots. The two extra bullets went wide and took out a couple clay pots in a nearby craft's stand.
"No doy segundas oportunidades." he said, as he looked down at the first man he killed, the leader of the group.
I do not give second chances.
El quickly holstered his handguns and reloaded his modified shotgun. Once he replaced his shotgun back into it's holster, El picked up his guitar and played another tune whilst walking down the road, away from the scene.

Custom Title: Sons of Mexico, now recruiting.
Quote: "You know, it's easier to pull the trigger than play guitar. Easier to destroy than to create."
Why you should get this character: He was my second favourite charactor in Once Upon A Time In Mexico (Sands being my fav), and my favourite charactor in Desperado. I finally decided to check out the site, and since most of the good Johnny Depp chars I could play were already taken, I thought I would take up the role of El Mariachi, since he was in OUATIM with Depp's charactor Sands. I feel I could roleplay this charactor well and all I ask for is the chance to shine.
How'd You Find Us?: One of your members, ToxSparrow is one of my best friends online, and she told me about this site so I thought I'd check it out. It's awesome.
Anything Else?: Not really.
