"All the work... for this?"
Angelica stood in an open grave holding a rusted locket in her palm and a shovel in her other hand. She threw the shovel away and sat down letting out a sigh. "I sure hope you were right and this really is the real thing", pirate said tilting her head a bit and looked at the pile of bones that once were human called Esmeralda. Angelica and her father were after a cursed treasure, and the locket Angelica had just dug up was needed if one was to get the treasure without getting killed. At least according to Esmeralda's diary they had found weeks earlier, they really couldn't be sure before they had tried getting the treasure.
Angelica looked up towards the sky. It was getting dark and it looked like it was going to rain soon. "I'd better get back to the ship", Angelica thought and climbed out of the grave. Just when she got up, she heard a thunder rumbling somewhere and few drops of water fell on her cheek from the sky. The wind was getting stronger too. "Oh great", pirate mumbled. She put the locket in her pocket and quickly started to pace away from the grave. She didn't get far before the rain had gotten stronger and she was soaking wet. Angelica looked around her and spotted a small shed not too far away from her. She ran to it and quickly got inside.
The shed was almost completely empty, there was just a few shovels in the corner and some broken miscellaneous stuff here and there. Angelica closed the door behind her and walked to a small window. She looked outside. It looked like the storm wasn't going to be over any time soon. Angelica sighed and sat down. She eyed the room she was in, and suddenly spotted a hatch on the floor. She leaned towards the hatch and opened it. Angelica tried to see what was inside there, but it was too dark. It smelled like something was rotting in there. She looked around hoping to find a candle or something like that so that she could get inside the cellar, not that she was really interested in seeing what was the source of the smell but because at least she would have something to do.
